Giro d’Italia winner Richard Carapaz is unable to compete in the Tour of Britain as his visa hasn’t yet been issued at time.
Movistar riders Carapaz has hardly raced as winning in June, his first Grand Tour success in Italy.
The Ecuadorian, 26, had been put next to lecture of Mikel Landa and Britain debutant to race.
This past week, after signing a deal carapaz will combine Team Ineos from the 2020 year.
Movistar said in a statement:”Sadly, despite the Movistar Team following all processes, Richard Carapaz’s visa for the Tour of Britain hasn’t yet been granted in time for him to travel to the race, even Hector Carretero will probably be substituting the Ecuadorian.”
In joining Team Ineos, Carapaz links up with three additional Grand Tour winners – Chris Froome, Geraint Thomas and Egan Bernal – also as Ben Swift, who signed a contract extension.
