Giants sign rookies Dexter Lawrence, DeAndre Baker

The New York Giants have locked up two of the first-round draft selections — but one remains unsigned.

Defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence and cornerback DeAndre Baker, drafted 17th and 30th overallagreed to their first NFL contracts Friday.
Quarterback Daniel Jones — the sixth pick in the draft — is to sign his deal.
Lawrence played three seasons winning two national titles each year, and being named an All-ACC selection. Baker satisfied up in Georgia for 51 games in four seasons and was appointed a consensus All-American in 2018. Both are expected to assist a defense that ranked 24th in the league last season.
Eight of the Giants’ 10 draft picks have become signed, which makes linebacker Oshane Ximines and only Jones unsigned.
