Leeds Rhinos have signed forward Matt Ahead from NRL side Cronulla Sharks on a deal, to finishing a health subject.
The skilled brace represented New South Wales in the State of Origin and games in the NRL.
On the play, Prior said:I know that Leeds Rhinos have a great history but have had some hard times in the last few decades.
Hopefully I can play my role in raising the golf carts and get us back to hard for silverware again.
I signed to the Rhinos a couple of years ago but we didnt get the deal done so that is something I have always had in my own mind.
Its an exciting time to be moving to Super League with players like Sonny Bill Williams, Gareth Widdop and George Burgess coming into an unforgiving competition and I can not wait to become involved with the Rhinos boys in training
The club also have affirmed that Australian global Trent Merrin has been allowed to leave the club grounds to go home to Australia.
