Murang’a Teachers Training College continues to set the pace in teacher education with an impressive academic performance in the last academic year. The college recorded a pass rate of over 92% in the 2024 KNEC PTE (Primary Teacher Education) exams, affirming its position as a leading institution for teacher training in Kenya.

Performance

Out of the candidates who sat the exams, a majority scored distinctions and credits, with several students ranking among the top in the region. The college attributes this success to a committed teaching staff, consistent student mentorship, and a well rounded academic and co-curricular program.

Speaking during the annual prize giving ceremony, the Principal praised both students and lecturers for their dedication and discipline, noting that “our goal is not only to train teachers but to produce passionate educators who will transform lives.”

As Murang’a TTC looks ahead to the new academic year, it remains focused on maintaining high academic standards, embracing digital learning, and nurturing future leaders in education.
