At Murang’a Teachers Training College (TTC), the safety and security of our students, staff, and property remain a top priority. As a leading institution preparing future educators, we are committed to fostering a peaceful and secure learning environment where everyone can thrive without fear or disruption.
Recent Security Improvements
To ensure the highest levels of security across the campus, the college administration has implemented several key measures:
- CCTV Surveillance
Closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras have been installed in strategic locations including lecture halls, hostels, and administrative buildings. These serve both as deterrents to crime and tools for investigation in the event of incidents.
- 24-Hour Security Patrols
The college maintains round-the-clock patrols, especially in student hostels and isolated areas, to ensure safety during both daytime and nighttime hours.
- Visitor Identification Protocols
All visitors are required to present valid identification and state their purpose of visit before being issued with visitor badges.
Student and Staff Involvement
Security is a shared responsibility. The college encourages students and staff to take an active role by:
- Reporting suspicious activity immediately
- Avoiding movement in restricted zones or late hours
- Adhering to college ID and dress code regulations
Partnerships with Local Authorities
Murang’a TTC maintains a strong working relationship with the local police and administrative units. This partnership enhances response time in emergencies and ensures college security policies are aligned with national safety guidelines.
Our Commitment
“A safe learning environment is essential for academic excellence and personal growth. Murang’a TTC is dedicated to maintaining a secure and peaceful campus for all.” College Principal
