Dean of Curriculum

The dean of curriculum (D.O.C.) in a Primary Teacher College is the person who is variously referred to in other institutions as the Academic Registrar or Director of Studies. The following are some of the responsibilities/ functions of the D.O.C.’s  office:-

Selection, registration and orientation of new students.

1. Induction of new tutors
2. Timetable planning.
3. Coordination and supervision of curriculum implementation programmes
4. Examinations
5. Teaching Practice also known as Practical Teaching
6. Students Academic Records
7. Member of Various standing committees e.g. Students Discipline, Tender, Graduation e.t.c.
8. Any other duty that may be assigned by the principal from time to time.
